The spread of complex and heterogeneous corporate information systems has made it increasingly necessary to facilitate the management of security issues, enabling a quick and effective identification of network devices and system problems.
XSecure has been designed and implemented to aggregate the large volume of security data available, for quicker problem analysis and diagnosis.


Product macro-capability
XSecure allows for the centralized collection, aggregation and correlation of security data from various types of network devices (Firewall, Router, VPN concentrator, Intrusion Detection System, AAA Authentication Systems, etc.), and in particular from the log files/data of these devices.
The reports generated by XSecure can be also accessed remotely through a web interface which can be displayed using a common web-browser.
The network security information history resides on a suitably optimized database for a very efficient management of large volumes of data (up to billions of record per day).

XSecure has been designed and implemented to provide an effective tool to Security Managers who require a centralized access point to detect and diagnose security problems.


Functional and technical specifications
Below are listed XSecure main technical and functional characteristics:


  • collection and standardization of security data coming from different network and security devices/systems;
  • aggregation of information by device type, IP address, event type, time range, etc.;
  • the data is imported to a database where you can make the required queries. In addition to table-based reporting, graphical reporting is also generated;
  • the database contains partitioned tables and indexes to improve its performances (e.g. entries, deletions, aggregations, etc.);
  • the data aggregated is updated every 15 minutes, thus enabling an almost real-time monitoring of the situation;
  • the system is of a high-availability type (cluster) and the data is protected from unauthorized access;
  • every XSecure user has his/her own profile which defines which types of data s/he can access and which functions s/he can execute.

XSecure is compliant with the following technology standards:

By means of security data aggregation, XSecure provides a single access point to detect and diagnose security problems, to make the necessary actions faster and more effective.
In addition, since in the XSecure database the data coming from different devices is standardized, you can re-use this data also for other types of analyses without the need for further standardization time and costs.
