XEcs

The legislative provisions on the security and information monitoring on the data traffic of customers of TLC operators require suitable tools for the correlation of data traffic information. XEcs has been designed and implemented by Xech to allow for a correlation between user and data traffic for each individual customer of TLC operators. XEcs also allows creating a traffic history, while ensuring maximum security of the data archived and privacy.

Product macro-capability
XEcs (Xech Event Correlation System) allows for centralized tracking, managing and archiving of the information generated by heterogeneous networking devices and software solutions.
The data can be managed remotely, via Intranet, through graphical interface. Traffic information is archived securely in a centralized database which enables effective queries and concurrent accesses to authorized users.

Target customers
XEcs has been designed and implemented to provide a valid tool to Security Managers of TLC companies, who need to archive data traffic information to be provided to the judiciary on request.

Functional and technical specifications
Below are indicated XEcs main functional and technical characteristics:

traffic data collection from several network devices (routers, ......);
correlation of traffic information, such as user IP address, connection start and end time, visited sites, sent/received mail, etc.;
the data is imported to a database where you can make the required queries;
events are correlated in the memory and not in the database: this increases the solution performance;
XEcs is equipped with an event storage buffer so that, even in the absence of the correlation infrastructure, the data collected is not lost and can be correlated later on the system is highly reliable and the data is protected from unauthorized access.
