XSpotter has been designed and implemented to monitor and measure the performances of one or more business strategic solutions, since an application problem, a server problem or a network problem may very often cause a business problem.

 

Product macro-capability
XSpotter is a software platform based on a scalable architecture, capable of collecting, creating a history of, analysing, presenting and consolidating the main performance and availability indicators of the services delivered and of the technology infrastructure used.
XSpotter main capability includes availability and performance monitoring of application solutions, services, servers and network devices of a complex technology infrastructure, as a result of which IT resources management improves.

 

Target customerXSpotter has been designed and implemented to provide customer companies with effective support in the management of mission-critical business applications. In particular, it is targeted to teams dedicated to application operation and critical problem solving.

Functional and technical specifications
 

Below are indicated the main XSpotter functional and technical characteristics:

  • real-time data monitoring: main performance indicators and alert conditions are shown in real time
  • alerts: the anomalies identified are shown through the XSpotter graphical interface and can be sent via various modes also to external systems (e.g. other monitoring systems, trouble-ticketing systems, management system, etc.)
  • Open Data Repository: the data archived can be made available through the XSpotter graphical interface or by means of an SQL client, in order to provide data to external systems, as well (e.g. other capacity planning systems, reporting systems, etc.)
  • reporting system: the data model is built to provide the required reports very quickly, despite the large volume of monitoring data contained in the repository; you can display several performance indicators at a time, perform a drill-down for given periods of time, export the data shown in charts; XSpotter provides a customizable set of templates to present data and you can easily create ad-hoc reports defining which data to show
  • user profiling: each XSpotter user has his/her own profile defining which monitored data s/he can access and which functions s/he is allowed to perform (e.g. administration, recovery actions, etc.)
